The Manx Legion was a sell-out, packed with happy, smiley faces who couldn’t wait for the Band to get started. Any doubts anyone might have had, about whether they would be as good as they remembered, soon disappeared. Steve and his Band (Johnny Caswell, Simon Smith and Chris Emery) rocked from the moment they began until the end of the night.
There was a Tombola for VIP Hospitality tickets and a further Tombola with some truly fantastic prizes (many, many thanks to ALL those who supported us with those prizes).
Big thanks (again) to Charlie Williams for helping me with the Tombolas and Auction. He’s brilliant at getting people to dig deep! Steve Gibbons himself was on form and obviously enjoying himself, so much so that when the Auction got under way, he threw himself into the spirit of it all adding a harmonica, and then another, and then another !! and then a CD!! – making a further £410 in the process! Thank you SO much for that Steve.
